Dear SkyeLeigh,

It's October ! Your Birthday month!!! In just a few short weeks you will officially be a four year told! Holy Macro, where did the time go!?

Even with me being away, I have managed to see you at least one day every weekend ... for the most part. I  still miss you like crazy!

I went over to surprise you the other day and you were not home, you were with Carlos, which made me happy to hear, but sad to not see you. Your MeMe informed me that I just HAD to come back because you had a surprise for me ! It took us a few tries to finally meet up, but when I saw you, you were so excited! You gave me my surprise with such excitement and joy. I think that was gift enough. But then you handed me something.

It was a owl candle holder. ADORABLE! You know Auntie so well. I sure do like owls, and the fact that you are thinking of me while you are out and about and I am no where around warms my heart. Your love is forever long.

I am looking forward to giving you a little something I picked up for you the other day.

Can't wait to see what we do for your birthday party. This year should be even more fun then last since you are older and can understand even more of it!

You are already talking about what you will be for halloween. So far on the list: a scary monster, a mermaid, or a princess. Any option would be adorable, although the monster would be an easy costume... you are one! :)

Love you Lots

I can't believe I have dropped the ball so bad & haven't blogged since March. Pathetic!

It's been so long, I can't even begin to share everything that's happen in the last 6 months.

You have grown so much. You look like a different kid to me now. No longer a toddler, you are a child. Tomorrow is your first day of preschool in the blue room! Three days a week for the almost big four year old.

Time has flown by. Your language has changed, your mannerisms have changed, you have changed. Every time I see you I am in aw of you. The last few years have flown by. I miss my little bug. But I am so excited for the milestones ahead.

Auntie moved an hour away to go to school and our relationship has changed so much. I no longer see you every day or week. There is no other way to describe how it feels other then, it sucks. It sucks for you, it sucks for me, it sucks for everyone. But our bound is closer despite the distance. Every time we do see each other you are so lovable & sweet. Those memories will forever be cherished. Our time together is sweeter and I'm sucking in every bit of it.

However, because of my absence in your life, your Daddy & his girlfriend have been able to spend more time with you. That warms my heart knowing your Daddy has made a presence in your life. He has always been in the picture but the relationship you two have now is something every daddy & daughter should have.

Like always I can't wait to see where life takes you. I can't wait to see you grow. And I can't wait to keep on loving you.

Love, Auntie.

New School

Today was your first day at McHenry County College Early Childhood Center, or as we say "Mommy's school".

Your Mommy takes you to school in the morning and then I pick you up after my class. Today, I was a little frazzled since it was the first day. There are so many codes and things to sign and I.D.'s to show. But I guess that makes you so, so, safe!

You are in the red room and I never did catch your teachers name, ha! Anyway, the teacher told me at pick up that you did so well today, you couldn't even tell it was your first day. You were so social! That makes your family and me so proud of you! You are one confident kid! Don't ever loose that quality, Monster!

After school we went to Panera for lunch,  while Michaela & I did homework. You ate so nicely and behaved so well! Then we headed to DQ for a treat, stopped at Birds but didn't get a chance to see him, then headed to get Piquettes. You took an awesome nap today too. You were the perfect toddler today, ha!

This week is the first week that I will have you again four days a week. I am very excited. I hope you are too. There is nothing better than picking you up from whatever school you are at and you run to me, arms open, screaming "Auntie Cay!!" It melts my heart. I am so blessed to have you in my life. And it amazes me how big you are getting! I just talked to your MeMe today about putting you in a booster with a high back. The car seat is getting too small for you!

I love you so much,
Auntie Cay!
